Confession: I've been in love with mirrored and metallic furniture ever since I saw them on Tori and Dean's "Home Sweet Hollywood" show a couple years ago! Let me tell you, though, they are pricey!
This one, from Horchow, (at $2110,) and
this one (at $1849) were inspirations for my old antique desk.

To get this look, I used a metallic silver paint, then toned it down with an antiquing glaze. I finished it with a high-gloss sealer to give it a nice shine. Oh, and I didn't get a picture of this, but the drawers are a nice crisp white on the inside! What do you think?
